Analog photography, also known as traditional photography, is the traditional photographic process, which uses non-digital techniques to produce images, compared to digital photography — of more recent appearance. Additionally, this term also serves to separate photography that uses film rolls, chemicals and dark photography rooms by techniques corresponding to the nineteenth and first half of the twentieth century, which can be identified as alternative photography.
Traditional photography has formed an important body of knowledge that includes the correct handling of degrees of sensitivity of films and papers, the handling of a wide variety of lenses, filters and light sources, and the ability or care of temperatures, concentrations and times of use with developer liquids and fixatives.
Of all this there are tables, formulas and recipes with numbers, volumes, temperatures, times and scales.
